Beschrijving

Of the magnificent collection of Chinese porcelain presented to the Ardebil shrine in 1611 by Shah Abbas the Great about 800 pieces are extant. These were moved to Tehran in 1935. The majority are blue & white, and had great influence over Persian pottery styles. Many are illustrated here, with more than one piece in most of the 142 plates, as well as a map and a plan of the shrine. A fine copy in blue cloth.
